Built in the early 1900's the 30,000 sq. foot warehouse for the  Lincoln Supply Co. Warehouse has been a feature of the West Side neighborhood in Syracuse, NY for over 100 years.  In 200*, after several years of vacancy, the building was acquired as part of the Near West Side Initiative (NWSI). Through funding from the Restore New York Grant, the 4-story warehouse will be converted into the Lincoln Apartments: a  combination commercial / residential space which is on-track for completion by the end of 2010. The first two floors will become office and retail space, while the upper floors will become live + work space for artists. The renovation will include several green technologies which be impletmented throughout the building from storm water retention and geothermal heating to the selection environmentally preferable products all in an effort to achieve LEED certification.
